Weekly Lesson Overview for Grade 5 (June 15-19)
Announcements:
- This week, we will clean our materials and classroom and prepare for summer break. We will also spend time reflecting on our growth this year.
- On Tues., we will visit Escape Hunt and work together to solve mysteries.
- is G5’s graduation day. Please come to the ceremony to support your graduate. After the ceremony, there will be cake and a picnic. More details to come.
Math – We will receive the results of our Chap. 8 tests and finish taking the end of the year test.
Students have access to ixl (www.ixl.com) so they can review and explore concepts at their own pace. The parent letter also lists math games that you can play with your child to help him/her hone their math skills.
Language arts – We will reflect upon our work this quarter and see who reached the goal of reading 40 books of various genres this school year. We will also examine our writing portfolios and pick our best work.
Social studies – We will share the letters and brochures we wrote about Williamsburg.
Science – We will review the results of our assessment on matter.
